Terms of service
Last updated 24 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of BrowserTesting: the websites browsertesting.eu and app.browsertesting.eu, the API and MCP server at api.browsertesting.eu, and the BrowserTesting app for Mac (together “the service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use the service for a company, you confirm that you may agree on its behalf. The service is for businesses and professionals, not for consumers.
1. The service
BrowserTesting runs user flows you describe in a real browser on websites you choose, records the results (videos, screenshots, console messages, network calls and timings), receives emails sent to its test inbox, crawls your site to show which elements are covered by a flow, and lets your team test flows by hand. We use AI to turn your steps into browser actions; it can make mistakes, so a result is a strong signal, not a guarantee that your site works.
2. Your account
- Give correct information and keep your password and API keys safe. You are responsible for what happens with your account and keys.
- The person who creates a team is its owner and can invite and remove members.
- Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else uses your account.
3. Only test what you may test
- Only run flows and coverage crawls on websites you own or have written permission to test.
- Test on a staging environment with test data. Only flows marked read-only may run on a live website.
- Do not use the service to overload, attack or scrape websites, to get around security measures or CAPTCHAs, or to create accounts on services that do not allow it.
- Do not put real people's personal data in test accounts or flows unless you have a legal basis for it.
- Payments are only made with test cards on test checkouts (Stripe test mode). The service refuses to pay on a live checkout.
If you break these rules, we may pause runs or close the account. We tell you why, unless the law stops us.
4. Plans and payment
- The Free plan is free. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in euros, without VAT. The prices on our pricing page apply.
- You can change or stop your plan at any time; it ends at the end of the month you paid for. Paid months are not refunded, except where the law requires it or when a fault on our side stopped the service for a long time.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. You may stop before the new price applies.
- When you go over the flow runs of your plan, we pause new runs until the next month or until you choose a bigger plan. We never charge extra without asking.
5. Your data
What you put into the service and what our browser records on your websites stays yours. You give us the right to use it only to provide and improve the service for you. For personal data in it, we act as your processor:
- we process it only on your instructions, which are these terms and how you use the service;
- people who work on it are bound to confidentiality;
- we keep it secure, use only the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy, and tell you before we add one;
- we help you answer requests from people about their data and tell you without delay about a data breach that affects you;
- we delete or return your data when you ask or when your account ends, unless the law requires us to keep it.
6. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the service available, but we do not promise it is never interrupted. We may change or improve features. If we remove a feature you pay for, we tell you in advance.
7. Liability
The service is provided as it is. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, lost data or a bug that a test did not find. Our total liability per year is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or intent.
8. Ending
You can delete your projects and ask to close your account at any time. We may end the service for you with 30 days' notice, or right away when you seriously break these terms. After the end we delete your data within 30 days.
9. Law and disputes
Belgian law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the courts of Antwerp, unless the law says otherwise. We first try to solve any problem together: write to [email protected].
10. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we update the date at the top and tell account holders by email at least 30 days before an important change applies. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
